Friday, November 4, 2005: 7:00 PM: Slide show on the Beauty of Indian Culture by Dr. Robert Arnett. Dr. Robert Arnett is the author of the book India Unveiled. In this presentation he will be sharing the beauty of Indian Culture, through his eyes, based on spiritual photography from his book India Unveiled. He will be accompanied by  Mrs.Turakhia, the illustrator of the award winning children’s book Finders Keepers. The emphasis of this presentation is to instill pride of our heritage, culture & roots, and to encourage the children to use their creative talents along with their intellect. The theme for this year Deepavali is "Saints of India.” (e.g. read Saints of India printout) We want volunteers interested in presenting Saints from various states and the state FOLK dance. Those who are interested in taking part in this celebration please sign up. Saturday, March 20, 2004 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, 13^th day Memorial Service for Dr. Krupanidhi Naidu, 68, a  pioneer member of Chinmaya family, who suddenly left for his heavenly abode on Sunday, March 7. He is survived by his 91 year old mother, Nirmala Naidu, his son Nishit Naidu, daughters Kim Cleveland and Niyathi Naidu, and grandson Christian Cleveland. Please join this service to honor this departed soul. A half hour of devotional chanting,  Swami Dheerananda’s discourse and  Memorial Speeches are planned in his honor.

Diwali Festival  5:30 PM to 8:30 PM. This festival is a common celebration for all Satellite Centers. All Mission members from these Centers are invited to participate in this important festivity. The program will start with Lakshmi pooja, followed by a cultural program, Dandya Raas and dinner.

As a part of the cultural program, we plan to stage "Dances of the Sub-Continent", by Mission members and their children.  If you would like to participate in this program, with an item from your state, region, country or continent, please respond immediately and include a description of the item.  Also, if any of you wish to assist in pooja, food or decoration arrangements please let us know. We have very little time for planning.

Shubhashish started his career at the age of 6. His training started with Pandit Chinmoy Lahiri and with Shyamal Lahiri. In 1988 he became a disciple of Padmabhushan Pandit V.G.
